Updated information on the transportation of animals to the EU

As of June 15, 2023, the simplified regime for importing pets into the EU, which was temporarily in effect at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, has been canceled.
The following requirements must now be met to import pets into the EU:
- The age of the animal is 12 weeks or older;
- Identification of the animal by means of a microchip or a brand;
- Rabies vaccination no earlier than 21 days before crossing the border and no later than 11 months before crossing the border;
- A negative test result for the presence of rabies antibodies, which was made no later than 30 days before crossing the border.
To import animals to the EU countries, you must also have the following documents
- International veterinary passport;
- A certificate of rabies vaccination;
- A test result for the presence of rabies antibodies.
Animals that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the country of origin or placed in quarantine.
