The following documents are required to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border

The following documents are required to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border:
- A travel document authorizing border crossing (passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad) issued within the last 10 years and valid for at least 3 months after the planned return from Poland (and other EU Member States), or a permit within the local border traffic (in this case, persons crossing the border are not subject to the provisions of par. B-e);
- Visa (a citizen of a Schengen country or a Polish citizen) or another valid document authorizing entry and stay in Poland (e.g. a residence card) or an EU country.
Only holders of biometric passports are exempt from the visa requirement.
If you are a third-country citizen, you must check whether your country of origin is on the list of third countries whose citizens are exempt from such visa requirements:
- Proof of availability of funds for the period of travel and return to Ukraine;
- Health insurance for a minimum amount of €30,000 (in case of entry on the basis of a Polish national visa);
- Documents confirming the purpose and conditions of the planned stay abroad.
Regardless of how you cross the border, export and import rules apply when entering Poland.
To enter Poland, a foreigner is obliged to confirm that they have sufficient funds for their stay abroad, namely:
- 300 PLN if the period of planned stay does not exceed 4 days;
- 75 PLN for each day of the planned stay, if the period of stay exceeds 4 days (or the equivalent amount in other currencies).
If a foreigner is a participant in a tourist trip, youth camp, or sports competition, has paid expenses related to their stay in Poland, arrives at a health resort, is a participant of a program that allows them to perform work during their vacation in Poland, which is not the main purpose of their stay, regulated by an international agreement to which Poland is a party, they are obliged to have financial resources for accommodation, at least PLN 20 per day of their planned stay (however, no less than PLN 100 or the equivalent amount in other currencies).
A foreigner entering the territory of Poland to start or continue studies at a higher educational institution, participate in scientific research, carry out project work, or start or continue research is obliged to have at least PLN 1,270 for the first 2 months of the planned stay (or the equivalent amount in other currencies).
